Anna-Clare Wilson, a girl from the Clare Valley, began her construction career at 17, starting her carpentry and joinery apprenticeship in 1993. Working in an industry known for long hours, competitiveness, and high-risk environments, she has dedicated herself to championing MATES in Construction, an organisation providing suicide awareness and prevention training across the sector.
Guided by their motto, “Let’s make a difference,” Anna-Clare emphasises the importance of resilience, self-reliance, and strong workplace networks in supporting mental health. As a proud RISE Coach, she continues to build connections and drive positive change, committed to being part of the solution.
