Richard has held senior leadership and management positions in a number of diverse industries in a career spanning 39 years. This includes significant experience in the building industry - establishing and leading the Metricon business in SA (13 years) , General Manager for the Longridge Sarah Housing Group and managing a high end custom building company and running a commercial construction company. He has also undertaken his own residential development work.

Richard has had significant general industry experience including the position of Past President of the MBA and representing the industry on many Boards and committees. His leadership and management experience includes establishing and/or managing businesses in four Australian states and two Territories. He has the ability to make businesses grow and function profitably through his expertise in developing and implementing appropriate business strategies, structures and staffing, financial management, marketing, operational and control processes and systems.

Having a track record of successful hands-on executive level CEO experience, Richard has the ability to help others to identify business problems, fuse effective strategy and then implement practical solutions. As a leader, he leads by example with integrity, passion, energy, and a caring respectful attitude towards others. Richard grows businesses by leading people to grow the brand and developing the people. A hallmark of all the businesses he has led is the ability to create a very strong culture of teamwork, honesty and integrity, personal development, innovation, respect and care and empathy.
